Marble of Doom

Posted in A Most Recent Post--->, Technology on October 20th, 2007 by admin

Phil over at Big Trousers sent me this site called the Marble of Doom.
If you are a Mac user, you will no doubt recognize the Marble of Doom as the spinning beach ball of death, or what ever you may call it. Needless to say, it’s a total time waster, not to mention it calculates how much total time that Mac users have wasted waiting on it to stop spinning. Got a mac? Add your total to the Marble of Death.

Nine Inch Nails tells it’s music label to piss off…

Posted in A Most Recent Post--->, News on October 9th, 2007 by admin

The band, Nine Inch Nails, contract with their music label expired this month making them free agents in the music world.
They follow Radio Head in making their own distribution, and setting their own price for their music.
I agree with them that the record companies were humping them royally as middle men.
You can read and see the video of Trent Reznor telling his former record company to F**k off, and telling everyone in the audience to steal their music.

Catch the piece here….
Less than a month after publicly calling executives at his music label unprintable names, rocker Trent Reznor has signaled that his days of working for a record company are over.

Vacation in deed!

Posted in A Most Recent Post--->, Site News on October 9th, 2007 by admin

Ok…, I’ve been a slacker the last few months on posting, however, there was good reason.
I was on vacation a lot. That and the fact that it is football season as well. With all that being said, I had been thinking about my blog site in general. I think the lack of a solid story each post, and random musings about what tickles my fancy at that moment have been the non drawing issue. Who am I writing for? Me? Hell, I can talk to my own self at any time. It turns out while I was recently looking over stats on my blog that one of my most popular blog articles was about this dude that was having sex with sheep and got caught. Go figure!
I’m sure with me adding sheep and sex in this blog posting, it too will be a popular post. Who knew that sheep sex was such a popular issue.
I thought it was just a thing in New Zealand. Sorry for any of the Kiwi’s that are offended.
Anyhow, I digress…, When I first started this blog, it was a learning tool for me, as it still is. I really not a daily poster to my blog, however, sometime I feel obligated to have to throw some stuff in, just to justify having it. Anyone else ever feel this way?
So I think I need to focus on a ongoing story line to get people to return. The web-cams are just a bonus attraction to get you here, so maybe I should focus on a subject like….., uhhh, sheep sex. : )
See, i’ve worked sheep sex tag in several times to attract the seekers. he he!
It seems everyone loves these kind of stories.
Take for example this string of tags together…, “man dies horse sex”
Now google it…, my god look at all the articles it spawned.
Anyhoo, I’m predicting that this blog I’m writing here will be my number 1 most viewed after this post, just because I used the words sheep sex, horse sex, man dies.
Stay tuned, I’ll keep you posted on the results.

Throwing in the towel…

Posted in A Most Recent Post--->, Site News on August 26th, 2007 by admin

Ok…, after messing around personally and having UberDesigner and Photogeek.TV host and personality Phil Greenwood mess with the Java Feed from my Evocam Software to the site more times than I care to even discuss here…, I’ve finally given up on trying to make Java video work on my site.
I believe my ISP along with my wireless, ports, and Firewall were all somehow to blame…, of course that’s my story and I’m sticking to it…, yeah, I know that is lame…, want to make something of it? ; )
Anyhow, I have decided to give way to a simpler solution.

Stickam

It’s such a simpler solution to broadcasting video on your site. It may Not have as many frills as the Evocam software solution, but it makes up for it in it’s use of ease and web 2.0 features. If the folks over at Evocam were smart they would find a way to make their software somehow interact with Stickam. They have not done anything major with it in over a year. You Listening guys?

So…, I have a solid video player now that offers streaming video, albeit, it taxes the upload stream heavily, making everything else you do online slow. It offers a photo slide show and a place to add your favorite MP3 for listening. As well a place to store your videos. Of course watching them is like watching paint dry, because it takes forever for the video to download.

So no more excesses about the streaming video not running.

I’ve also added a BETA to my Personal Web Cam.

I’ve installed a Frappr Map that allows you to place yourself on a google type of map and add your city, name, and webpage or cam.
Give it a shot. I’ve found the Beta to be quite a work in progress though. I still can’t seem to upload a photo.

I’ve just got back from holiday, and have multiple things to add to the site. I’ll keep you posted as I add them.
Thanks, AJay

This week we take a look at a cam in the southern U.S. located around Mobile, Alabama.
Google map position here…
The Cam server is out of Summerdale, however, the cam is situated along the gulf coast, more than likely in Gulf Shores Alabama.
It a very nice beach shot showing people doing beach stuff…, what ever that may be….

Target to only sell Blu-ray players in stores - Engadget

Posted in A Most Recent Post--->, Technology on July 26th, 2007 by admin

In another small battle in the HD - Blu ray format wars, it looks like Blu- ray has scored another small skirmish in getting Target retailers to stock only Blu - ray players. See the Post here.

In a related note, Microsoft just reduced the Xbox 360 HD DVD to $179 with 5 free HD DVD titles, which you can read about here in this post.

My ISP speed…

This is one of the better speeds I have had through my ISP (Comcast)    148185485.png    1195297416.png   Notice 25 days later the Latency is less  but so is the download speed. Why is this?Upload remains basically the same.   “>

Microsoft Pisses off Hitler…., News at 11

Posted in A Most Recent Post---> on June 9th, 2007 by admin

I came across this you tube video of hitler being banned from his X box live account, and he was not too happy about it.
Quite frankly, it amused me. Who ever thought up this ideal for this video was clearly thinking out of the box.
If you are sensitive to strong language, this video may not be for you. There is extensive use of strong language in this video.
